Hindu pork deity!

This is something that had escaped me. Apparently, there is an Hindu deity (an avatar of God Vishnu) that has the face of a pig. A boar to be precise, and it is called Lord Boar or Varaha.
You may also see a painting of Vishnu (if I'm not mistaken) with all 5 avatars here.

For the record, the guys and girls in the picture below are supposed to be... indian pigs! I had a hard time telling!

I love Steve Moore's "In the Bleachers" comic series. The daily strip of September 16, 2010 featured a rare pig reference. Enjoy...
